This 150-year old property was purchased in 1993 by the previous part-owner of Ch Suduiraut, Philippe Mercadier, from Jacqueline Tuyttens-Laville. Philippe’s main vineyard interests are in the Languedoc, but he could not get Sauternes from under his skin, and, when this excellent little property came up for sale, he grabbed it. The estate is in the commune of Fargues, just to the East of Rieussec and to the North of Ch de Fargues, on the gentle lower slope that stretches from the Langon-Sauternes road to the woods by Ch de Malle.

2016 Château Partarrieu
93 Points – Lisa Perrotti-Brown, “The Wine Advocate” (March 2019)

“The pale to medium lemon-gold colored 2016 Partarrieu hits the ground running with an expressive perfume of mango, peach blossoms, honey-drizzled pears and candied ginger with wafts of straw and baking bread. The palate has beautiful harmony and expression with fantastic freshness defining the tropical and spicy layers, finishing long.”
