Located in the locality of the same name, La Chapelle Lescours gave its name to a powerful and straight wine. The first vineyards were planted by the priests who came to establish themselves on the property of Lord de Lescours in the Middle Ages.

Formerly, this property extended from the Dordogne River to Château Ausone.

On a clay-sandy soil, we immortalize the tradition of Saint Emilion's wines in the same municipality which saw the first economy of Saint Emilion.

The tradition brings us back in the Middle Ages when Lord of Lescours offered to the Monks of the bishop’s palace (Chateau L’Évêché) the right to cultivate a vineyard around the Chapel for their personal use. Today Chateau La Chapelle Lescours is a modern Grand Cru which perpetuates the tradition of Saint–Émilion greatest wines.

Tasting Notes

« The 2015 Chapelle-Lescours is based on 80% Merlot and aged in 33% new oak, in foudres rather than barrels. It offers dark berry fruit mixed with cola on the nose that takes a bit of coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, crisp blackberry and boysenberry fruit, cedar and graphite with a precise, almost Pauillac like finish. What's not to like here? »
